The Science Behind Intranasal Delivery

The olfactory and trigeminal nerves are two of the only places in the body where the nervous system is directly exposed to the outside world. Peptides absorbed there bypass the blood-brain barrier entirely through direct neural transport. For CNS-targeting peptides, intranasal isn't a workaround — it's a more direct route.

Why Spirare Exists

Most peptide information was geared toward injections.

The deeper I got into peptide research, the more obvious the problem became. The information existed, but none of it was actually designed for nasal research.

The existing solutions were a mess.

I was sourcing components separately, trying to find nasal spray calculators online, and piecing together workflows from scattered information.

So we simplified it.

Spirare brings the essential components and guidance into one streamlined kit designed specifically for intranasal peptide research.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much does each spray deliver?

Each spray delivers approximately 100µL (0.1mL). Using 5mL of saline to reconstitute a 10mg vial gives you roughly 200mcg per spray and 50 total sprays.

What saline should I use?

Use sterile 0.9% NaCl saline only. The kit includes preservative-free single-use saline — no BAC water, no tap water, no drugstore sprays.

Do I need anything else besides this kit?

With the exception of your peptide, everything you need for intranasal prep is included — an amber glass nasal spray bottle, luer lock syringes, sterile saline, alcohol prep pads, labels, and an insert card with step-by-step instructions.

Should I get a 5mL or 10mL bottle?

Both work with a standard 10mg peptide vial and 5mL of saline. The 10mL bottle gives you more headroom and is more versatile.

The 5mL bottle is more compact and travels better. Either way, concentration and spray output are identical.

How do I store my prepped nasal spray?

Store it in the refrigerator, ideally between 36-46°F. Never freeze a reconstituted solution as ice crystals can degrade the peptide.

Is this kit reusable?

The nasal spray bottle is reusable as long as you sterilize it between uses.
